Mrs. Carpenter's last Zoom meeting of the school year was a blast. We're going to miss each other so we decided we should Zoom during the summer!

Flat Mrs. Mamie got to go on many adventures. She picked morels, walked a dog, exercised, rode bikes, jumped in a mud puddle, and got to hang out with some students and their families. ❤️

Miss Giffin is retiring after 35 years of teaching. We thought it appropriate to recognize her during Teacher Appreciation Week for her dedication and love for children. We had a surprise drive by parade past her house Friday evening with many BES staff, friends and students celebrating her. Good luck Miss Giffin! We will miss you!

Mrs. Carpenter's class always enjoys getting together. Last evening we played "What Am I?" led by the students. We saw live tadpoles and I read "Caps for Sale."
On Friday, May 15th, parents may come to Bellaire Elementary School to retrieve student belongings that were left in classrooms. We will be following social distancing guidelines. Masks are recommended. The materials will be available for pickup in the cafeteria and gym, depending on grade. There will be an area to drop off completed schoolwork. Dance pictures will be available for pickup. Parents with more than one student can make one trip.
The schedule is as follows:
Preschool and Kindergarten- 9-11am
1st and 2nd grades- 11am-1pm
3rd and 4th grades- 1-3pm
Mrs. Thorp's class had fun playing Pictionary today! I miss seeing those smiling faces everyday! 😁

There were many laughs and stories told yesterday at Mrs. Carpenter's Zoom meeting. We had a pet doggie and a live salamander even join us for a while. We're meeting twice a week, so I hope to see everyone Thursday!
Mrs. Carpenter"s class had another fun Zoom meeting Thursday evening. We even had some parents and siblings join our meeting. Everyone enjoyed playing the game "What Am I?" Looking forward to our next Zoom meeting Monday at 7:00 P.M.
Mrs. Mamie’s class enjoyed another zoom session. We listened to a Flat Stanley read aloud to go along with our Flat Teacher Project. I cannot wait to see the adventures I will go on! 😊
