We begin our Start with Hello Week with “Hello and High Fives Monday.” We will focus on greeting everyone we see and leaving positive messages for others around the school! 💚

The middle school volleyball team was on their way back from Harrison Central on Tuesday and stopped for Chic-Fil-A! Even though 7th and 8th grade didn’t end up winning, their coaches have been so impressed by the hard work the girls have been putting in since the first game and decided that the team deserved a reward! ❤️🖤

NAMI Greater Wheeling will be visiting Bellaire Middle School on Tuesday, September 19, to present "Ending the Silence." This program was developed for middle school students and enables them to identify the warning signs of mental health conditions. This will coincide with our Start with Hello Week & will focus on improving student mental health. We are providing this as a part of suicide prevention awareness month and so that students know where to get help, if it is needed.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Please share that 988 is the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, as this information could save lives.

Miss Doyle has these awesome bulletin boards on display with our mental health themes of the month listed. We started the school year strong with some coping skills and now we are focusing on suicide prevention.


Today, September 10, is World Suicide Prevention Day. According to the CDC in 2020, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in youth ages 10 - 14 and 3rd leading cause of death in youth ages 10 - 24. & 4 out of 5 individuals considering suicide give some sign of their intentions, either verbally or behaviorally. Help is available & you are not alone- Call or Text 988 - if you or someone else is experiencing a mental health crisis. 💜💚
