Thursday, November 30, 2023 - BMS Hope Day

Bellaire Local Schools' Theme for the 2023 - 2024 School Year is HOPE! Bellaire Middle School is having a Hope Day tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023. If you purchased a hope t-shirt, designed by our own Klowiee Muravsky, please wear it tomorrow. If your child did not purchase a hope t-shirt, we would like for them to wear Bellaire Red and Black tomorrow to show school spirit. Thank you!

Miss Berdine picked up the $500 check from the Bellaire VFW today! Thank you to the Bellaire American Legion & Bellaire VFW for donating $500 each to our 8th Grade Washington D.C. trip & to the Neffs American Legion for donating $50 towards the trip! ❤️💙

It’s free to enter, but a canned good donation for the food pantry is greatly appreciated! ❤️🖤

Our school secretaries did a fabulous job of decorating our office for the holidays! Great job, Mrs. Badia & Mrs. Matis! ❤️🖤🎄🖤❤️

Reminder: There is no school for students tomorrow, November 27, due to a planned professional development day for staff. School resumes for students on Tuesday, November 28, 2023! ❤️🖤

Happy Thanksgiving, Big Reds! As always, we are most thankful for our students, families, staff members, Board of Education, & community members!

Congratulations to Jeremiah Hodges who won a 5 pound chocolate bar from our school fundraiser! ❤️🖤

We are so THANKFUL for the Ohio River Valley Elks #231! Not only do they pack our Blessings in a Backpack food, but they donate money to support this program! Thank you, Elks! ❤️🖤

Bellaire Cheer is hosting a wonderful dance @ BMS tonight! ❤️🖤

Bellaire Schools are on Thanksgiving Break starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 22 - Friday, November 24, 2023. Mon, Nov. 27 is a professional development day for staff members and all students are off that day. Students will return to school on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Have a safe and relaxing break, Big Reds!

Mrs. Lahna had our students create their own balloons for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Thank you to the Women of the Church of God Meadowbrook for the $500 donation of supplies for our school clothes closet and Blessings in a Backpack food donation! ❤️🖤

Our middle school students wore red and black today for Tusky Valley. They also contributed about $300 towards the Bellaire Band Parents district fundraiser. We wear these colors for the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District today to support them as they are experiencing unimaginable grief and loss. #BandingAsOne #TuskyValleyStrong

One of the best parts of being a Big Red is the amount of support our community shows other people during times of tragedy. Bellaire Middle School raised $300 for Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools. This money will be combined with the money raised by BES & BHS for the Bellaire Band Parents Red & Black Day Fundraiser. Thank you to the Bellaire School Community for supporting Tusky Valley students, families, and community members, as they grieve this horrific loss. Our middle school band students are pictured here with shirts that our art teacher, Mrs. Lahna, made for them to wear. The logo is also featured on the second picture. Thank you to Mr. Bruce Young and his students in the BHS Industrial Arts Building for repairing and restoring the high school scorer’s table and donating it to the middle school! We think it looks perfect! Also, does anyone recognize those professional movers who helped us get it into the gymnasium? (Thank you to Coach Arno, Mr. Davis, & Mr. Ramsay, for helping us get it into the gym)

Thank you to the Belmont County Farm Bureau for sending 144 boxes to the middle school today for our Blessings in a Backpack Program! We appreciate our student council members who helped us put the boxes away! ❤️🖤
