Resilience is a matter of preserving and having the courage to explore what you're truly made of. Anna Pramik, a former graduate of Bellaire High School, embarked on her journey to flex her courage when she joined The United States Marines in the summer of 2023. After completing the Marine Corps' most difficult tests in Parris Island, South Carolina, she was sent to Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California. Camp Pendleton is the largest West Coast expeditionary training facility covering 125,000 acres. This Marine base is the Department of Defense’s busiest sector for training. Within the first 9 months on the job, Lance Corporal Pramik demonstrated her ability to go above and beyond her duties in the logistics department. In July of 2024, she was recognized for her leadership and meritorious work. She received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal from General Eric Smith who is the Commandant of the Marine and Navy. The role of the commandant includes reporting to the United States Secretary of the Navy, overseeing policies and procedures of the Marine Corp as well as advising the President, the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, the Homeland Security Council, and the Secretary of the Navy. Lance Corporal Pramik continues to unfold her resilience and demonstrate her ability to rise to the challenges as a Marine. She is a positive role model who continues to show grit and determination. Her family, friends, and community are proud of her achievements and courage to preserve from afar. She is truly a pillar of strength representing The United States Marine Corp and The All American Town. Oorah!
