On Thursday, March 22, 2018, Bellaire High School will host its annual Queen of Queens pageant in the Alumni Auditorium at 7:00.
The evening will begin with Casual Wear and the contestants will be introducing themselves at this time. Next, the judges will be introduced. Then the talents will be displayed, followed by Evening Wear and biographies. After a brief intermission, while the judges compute scores, the Queen will be crowned.
The contestants and their talents are as follows. Hannah D’Aquila will be singing “Nothing Compares to You” by Sinead O’Connor, followed by Mackenzie Ewan who will be singing and playing ukulele to “Sign of The Times” by Harry Styles. Next, Tabytha Gulla will be singing “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, then Alexandria Street sings “Never Enough” from the musical The Greatest Showman. Then Lexi Thomas will be performing a comedy act, and finally, Liliana Yocum will be singing “On My Own” from the musical Les Miserables.
The scoring is based on activities (5 points), casual attire introduction and personality (10 points), talent (60 points) and evening gown, poise, presentation and beauty (25 points).
The winner will go on to represent Bellaire High School at the OVAC Queen of Queens’ competition at the Capitol Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia on Thursday, July 26 with the crowning taking place on Saturday, July 28 at the OVAC Football Game at Wheeling Island Stadium.
